Trinity United Methodist Church is much more than a building. Trinity UMC is a caring community of people who share their lives and faith in Jesus Christ. Located in Catlett, VA in the heart of Fauquier County, we are a historic church serving the present day with vigor and enthusiasm without compromising our rich Methodist heritage. Our worship, an eclectic blend of modern and traditional, is a reflection of our community. This video just posted. It's the best summary, analysis, and outlook of the Methodist meeting last week concerning LBGT inclusivity I've seen. It's a presentation by the pastor and primary author of the centrist/progressive plan that had 2/3 support of the US Methodists. This is the best summary (written, podcast, or video) that I've seen yet. You may want to share this with others. The first 40 minutes is a general presentation, which is great, then there is about a 10 or 20 minute presentation by lay folks, then the leader answers questions for another 40 minutes, concerning topics and outlooks I'd not yet seen addressed elsewhere. http://vimeo.com/320591803

The presentation will be at 10 AM, Saturday, March 2, 2019, at 9280 Old Dumfries Rd, Catlett, Virginia. Sharing this information as posted by the Catlett Vol. Fire & Rescue. Trinity will miss Virgina Copeland. "We regret to announce the passing of Lifetime Member and Chaplain Virginia Copeland. Mrs. Virginia Copeland was a huge part of not only the Catlett community but also the Catlett Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department. She joined the department in 1968 as a member of the ladies auxiliary. Through the years she became president of the auxiliary. She played a huge role in the Annual Fireman’s Carnival and was known for helping build the float for the annual queen every year. She has served as our Chaplain for many years and was a lifetime member of the department. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers. Services will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Jehoash Presbyterian Church. A reception will follow at the Cedar Run Building in Catlett."
It was great to see everyone at tonight's Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper. Of the more than 30 toppings, the 100% pure maple syrup was the most popular this year.
